Leo Bierman www.BrooklynAcu.com A Flatbush native, Leo is committed to making acupuncture accessible and affordable, so that it can help people to live their everyday lives with greater happiness and health. Leo is a nationally board certified, New York state licensed acupuncturist. He received his Master’s of Science in Acupuncture with honors at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture. He integrates several styles of acupuncture, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Japanese Acupuncture, Five Element Acupuncture, as well as Trigger Point therapy. He combines these techniques with medical qigong, meditation, and movement-based practices to help resolve both acute and chronic issues of the body, mind, and spirit, and to put your health back in your hands. His goal is to see patients become empowered with the tools to master their own health and well being. Leo is also an ordained interfaith minister, through the One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, where he was trained to help address the spiritual challenges of people from diverse spiritual traditions, including those who do not subscribe to any particular path. He currently works in community clinics around the city, and has a private practice in Prospect Lefferts.

Her therapeutic bodywork includes Craniosacral therapy, Tui Na, Amma, as well as cupping and guasha. Mia received her Masters degree with honors from Tri-state College of Acupuncture. Mia has a Bachelors of Arts from Columbia University with a focus on African American Studies, Gender Studies and Ecology.

Working from the premise that the body heals itself, Mia sees her role as a facilitator of that process. Boris Bernadsky www.361acupuncture.com Boris Bernadsky graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with degrees in Massage therapy and Chinese Medicine. He initiallybecame interested in East Asian medicine after acupuncture greatly helped him out of pain after an injury. He has also been involved in various East Asian martial arts from childhood. He brings this experience into the treatment room. Boris has worked extensively with acupuncturists specializing in pain management and the treatment of orthopedic conditions, and has completed many advanced trainings in acupuncture and bodywork with esteemed teachers Dr. Stephen Jackowics, Dr. Henry Mcann, Andrew Nugent Head, Yang Fu Kui, and Daniel Wunderlich among others. He has also gone on several Medical Missions with the Global Healthworks Foundation and Global clinic to treat underserved communities in Guatemala using various modalities of East Asian medicine. His goal in patient treatment is to give patients what they need to get back to their lives. His treatments often include homework and exercises, as well as Qi Gong and dietary reccomendations or lifestyle advice. He is happiest when patients visit a few times leave a nice review, and head on their way.

Taganyahu Swaby Taganyahu Swaby's experience working with trauma has been an extensive part of his career. In & outside of the clinic his focus has been on designing methods to alleviate trauma and addiction.  He specializes in pain management through his acupuncture practice at clinics in the five boroughs. Having had firsthand experience with autoimmune illnesses he has had success treating Ulcerative Colitis & Crohn's. Insomnia, Psoriasis, Excema, Menstrual Irregularities, Depression, Thyroid Issues, Digestive Disorders and more. Having worked with children for years & being a parent he has treated his children and other children. Swaby began studying acupuncture after years of training Qi gong and Tai Qi Chuan, two forms of internal martial arts that, along with acupuncture, share the principle of “qi,” or life force, as their foundation.
